Charities & things that I mull over

This will be a longish entry from me for a change as there is several things I need and want to touch on.

First of all

Charities

As alot of you know I tweet a aweful lot :P but there are some people and Charities who use twitter to help them get their causes across. Alot of them have personally touched me as in the case of one or two I have had happen to me.

Anyway this isnt about me for a change :p

There are two main charities on twitter that have really got to me and I am going to plug them both here as they both mean a huge to me and they are very worthy of any support that they are given.

These are honnestly being named in no particular order.

Bliss

I heard of this through a group of lovely ladies on twitter Tess Morris , Susan , Helen these ladies and several others from what I remeber (poke me if i am wrong on this ladies hehe) are currently organising a run and they are part of the #Blisstwits

Anyway a bit of information about bliss

One in every nine babies in the UK is born premature or sick. That is over 80,000 babies every year.

22,000 of these babies need intensive care, often for many weeks or even months. As medical treatments continue to improve, this figure is rising all the time.

Information from the Bliss website um I will need to get intouch with one of these for the figures as I have litterally forgot but it will be updated with the information.

Thank you Tess for the following

The Key Statistics about Birth and birthweight

the figures are shocking reading alone and touched me the second I saw them.

This one has touched me as much as Bliss. Ben is a incredibly strong man and witty to go with it.
No one should have to go through this and Ben has my admiration for him being strong.

On the 30th of June Ben posted this on twitter to rise more awareness and its touching.

5 yrs ago today Jessica lost her life to an archaic disease just cos she gave birth.

Again like the bliss jessicas trust is trying to get it known and 14% of maternal deaths in the UK are due to septicaemia. Otherwise known as Childbed fever.

I admire all those people as its easy for me to say "Oh yes I will back you" but I would love to do more and hopefully this will help get a little more information out there for others to simply understand that not everything is a all perfect and roses.
