I had NO trouble with them when they were Bulldog but Now they are Pipex I am having issues. Now we called them up complaining. It wasnt the first time we had issues with them. A small list from what I could remeber
- Randomly cutting the landline attached to our broadband account with them - this actually happened not once but 5 times and they were blaiming how old the wires are. (quite a possibilty)
- Had our broadband disconnect several times over one night - they tried to blame how much we were uploading, Heres the thing We couldnt upload anyway.
- Used to be on 5.3 mbps they have now dropped us to 1.4-56 (and thats on a good day.) Looking at their own speed test now and at the time of writing this its 1.39 Mbps paying 30 quid a month for technically Dial up?! yea ><.
- Their customer service department isnt even handled in the UK so even if you do have a complaint the poor sods on the other end of the line cannot understand you ( please note my beef isnt with the poor call center folk. Its with Pipex) The only time we got someone who could understand us was when we told them we were cancelling and moving.
- The ammount of lies they have told us. Because we have the landline with them as well they have told us NO other company would be willing to take us on as we dont have a BT line. I did some digging and defunked this theory. Spoke to other providers and none of them have said they would be a problem. Pipex seem to be very cuniving and lying gits just to try and keep you sweet.
Why do companies who get taken over ALWAYS go to the shit. I had the same with Wannado (formally freeserve!) anyway bring on next Thrusday when I am moving to someone a little more realiable.
If yer looking for a new provider PLEASE HEAD THESE WORDS
If you value what state of mind you have left just advoid pipex they most certainly not worth it.
